Biography

Iman Azzi is a critical scholar of international education, focusing on the historical development of international schooling, particularly in the Middle East. She holds a PhD from University College London.

'This ground-breaking book is indispensable reading for new and experienced practitioner-researchers in the expanding field of international education. Dr Azzi provides detailed practical advice that challenges the international school community, and those engaged in research on the International Baccalaureate, to recognise positionality and practice reflexivity. This is illustrated with lively personal anecdotes and thoughtful summaries of previous research. It is a delight to find such an accessible yet scholarly text.'

- Hugh Starkey, Emeritus Professor, UCL Institute of Education
