Katherine I. Martin is an Associate Professor in the School of Languages and Linguistics at Southern Illinois University whose research focuses on literacy, vocabulary, and individual differences in second language learning.
Patti Spinner is an Associate Professor in Linguistics, Languages and Cultures at Michigan State University whose research focuses on the acquisition of grammar by second language learners.
