Biography

Emma Poulton is Associate Professor in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University, UK. Her research interests centre around football supporter cultures, football-related violence, identity, and, in particular, antisemitism within the context of football.

‘Football is the global game and antisemitism, too, has a global impact.  Emma Poulton is Britain’s leading academic expert on antisemitism in football, and this book brings a welcome and much needed insight into the ways that anti-Jewish prejudice can play out on the pitch, in the boardroom, and in the media and public commentary that swirls around the sport.’ - Dave Rich OBE (Director of Policy, Community Security Trust)
