"What I love about this book is how easy it is to use. It takes all the big important stuff, like the VAWG and Women’s Health strategies and turns it into sessions you can just pick up and run with, even if you’re not an expert.  You can tell it’s come from lived experience, but it’s never heavy or hard to follow. It’s warm, it’s fun, and it’s all about the things that really matter to girls today. It’s such a useful book, and honestly one we really needed."

"This resource provides a timely reminder that young women continue to have significant unmet needs, that are often overshadowed by higher profile issues related to young men’s mental health, online misogyny and youth violence. Seeing young women as individuals with their own needs, hopes and aspirations, a strong girls group provides a safe space and support from skilled youth workers to explore identity and develop essential social and emotional skills for life.  Activities in this book support this, offering creative ways to engage, motivate and inspire young women to better understand themselves, as well as build the social and emotional skills to navigate relationships, friendships and the world around them. Whilst some of the ideas may be old favourites to experienced facilitators, there are enough new ideas and an easy-to-use appeal to the layout, that make this a resource that earns its place on the bookshelf alongside its older sisters for anyone wanting to deliver high quality youth work in a single gender environment."
