    The proceedings of the International Symposium on Open, Distance, and E-Learning (ISODEL 2021) share ideas, either research results or literature reviews, on distance education, media, and education in the digital era. Some recent issues consist of innovative education in the digital era, new media Industry 4.0, Digital Education Transformation, Character Building, Vocational Education 4.0, and Preserving Future Children Characters and Culture. It is expected that the proceedings will provide new insights to the knowledge and practice of education and education technology research. Therefore, such parties involved in education research such as academics, practitioners, business leaders, and others will benefit from the contents of the proceedings.

    Biography

    Prof. Paulina Pannen Ph.D., is educator at the tertiary education, and passionate about helping people succeed in all areas of life. She has led Ed Tech programs that have expanded to include more than 30 years of experience. She is developing education journeys that are not only responsive to student needs but also innovative, flexible, and inclusive. She believes in making a difference in the lives of students.
    Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus Ph.D., Rector of Indonesia Open University. There is no doubt that UT as an institution has successfully carried out its mission in widening access to higher education, for both practicing teachers and general society. By any means, UT represents one of the significant contributions to innovation in modern Indonesian higher education system. Nevertheless, there are still many challenges to overcome to establish itself as one on of the centers of excellence in open and distance education in the world. This will require and demand greater commitments and contributions from both all UT’s staff as well as from its stakeholders.
    Moch. Abduh, Ph.D, is holding a functional position that has the task of carrying out analysis and assessment, design, production, implementation, control, and evaluation activities for the development of learning technology. PTP is there to provide solutions to learning problems in formal, informal and non-formal education. In carrying out their duties, PTP is innovating in the field of learning technology making it easier for educators and students.
