"This outstanding book from Sonia is an absolute treasure for everyone on their wellbeing journey — wherever you are on that journey. The refreshing practicality that Sonia has woven throughout makes this book unique in the wellbeing arena. Whether you have five minutes or a full afternoon, you'll find recipes, nature walks, planting suggestions, exercise ideas and more that you can genuinely fit into your life.
Rooted in research and drawing on a rich variety of mental health and wellbeing sources, this evidence-based book manages to feel warm, supportive, and wholeheartedly human. Sonia has thoughtfully addressed diversity and ethnicity, acknowledging that wellbeing doesn't look or feel the same for everyone. This refreshing honesty makes the book truly inclusive.
The anecdotes and vignettes from real people that you will find featured in each chapter are thought-provoking and engaging. The underlying celebration of family and friends — from small acts such as cooking together to full days out — are a wonderful reminder that wellbeing is something we can nurture together. This is a great book to keep to hand for your everyday wellbeing ideas." - Kathy Brodie, Founder of Early Years TV
"Everyday Wellbeing is an easy to read, practical book which encourages everyone to consider how they can better take care of themselves. There is such a rich range of ideas included. Many individulas have shared experiences of their own chosen activities to boost their wellbeing; these were both interseting and inspirational. I really enjoyed having a go at one of the wellbeing exercises at the end of each chapter. It was helpful that there were suggestions of activities of differing lengths depending on what time I had available. This book will be benificail to anyone reading it and I will be recommending it to educators I work with as well as family and friends." - Sharon Cooke, Thrive Licensed Practitioner, Nurture Specialist and Author
