Biography

Dr. Garima Pandey is Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Delhi-NCR Campus. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from CCS University, she has over two decades of academic and research experience, specializing in nanotechnology, green chemistry, electrochemical sensing, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Pandey serves as an academic editor for PLOS ONE and is on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio). She is also a reviewer for high- impact journals such as Discover Sustainability, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, and Discover Materials published by Springer Nature. She has published more than 50 research articles and reviews in reputed international journals and contributed over 25 book chapters to renowned publishers including Elsevier, Springer, CRC Press, and Wiley. She has authored and edited multiple books and holds three patents, including innovations in hydrogen production and plastic waste pyrolysis. Dr. Pandey has been featured in Elsevier’s prestigious list of the Top 2% Most Cited Scientists worldwide for two consecutive years. She has also received several accolades including the Best Researcher and Best Faculty Awards at SRMIST. A dynamic academic leader and mentor, she is actively involved in research guidance, administrative roles and academic policy development.

Prof. Prashant Singh completed an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. He joined the research group of the late Dr. N. N. Ghosh, at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Centre for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi, India and earned his Ph.D. He is currently a Professor of Chemistry at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, University of Delhi, Delhi, India. He has published about 190 research articles/ reviews in journals of international repute along with chapters. He has H index 35, i-10 is 124 and citation of his work is more than 4500. He was awarded a UGC postdoctoral research fellowship and also offered a post-doctoral fellowship from North-West University, South-Africa. Four students got their Ph.D. under his guidance and a few are currently working with him.

Bimal Krishna Banik, Ph.D., is Professor in the Deanship of Research at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd University, Saudi Arabia. He earned his doctorate from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Calcutta and conducted postdoctoral research at Case Western Reserve University and Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Previously, he served as a Tenured Full Professor, First President’s Endowed Professor in Science & Engineering and Vice President of Research & Education Development at the University of Texas. His research focuses on synthetic organic chemistry and chemical biology, particularly in cancer, antibiotics, hormones, catalysis, and natural products. As Principal Investigator, he secured $7.25 million in grants from the NIH and NCI. He has over 700 publications, 530 presentation abstracts, and has edited/authored 23 books. His work, cited over 10,000 times, ranks him in the Top 2% of Scientists globally by Stanford University and Elsevier. Dr. Banik is a prolific leader in the scientific community, serving as Editor-in-Chief of 12 journals, Reviewer for 93 journals, and Editorial Board Member for 26. He has organized over 20 ACS symposia, chaired numerous conferences, and introduced approximately 300 speakers. His accolades include the Indian Chemical Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Mahatma Gandhi Pravasi Honor Medal, and the University of Texas Board of Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award. Dr. Banik has delivered keynote lectures in 35 countries and hosted distinguished figures, including Nobel Laureates and U.S. Senators.
