About the Editors

T.S. Srivatsan, Professor of Materials Science & Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron (OH, USA), earned his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1981 and his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 from Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). Dr. Srivatsan joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering faculty at The University of Akron in 1987. He has authored or edited 57 books, delivered over 200 technical presentations, and authored or co-authored more than 700 archival publications in journals, book chapters, book reviews, proceedings of conferences, and technical reports. He is a Fellow of (i) American Society for Materials International; (ii) American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and (iii) American Association for Advancement of Science.

Dr. Manoj Gupta is Associate Professor of Materials at NUS, Singapore. He is a former Head of Materials Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director Designate of Materials Science and Engineering Initiative at NUS, Singapore. He did his BEng from VRCE-Nagpur in 1984 (First Class with Distinction), MEng from IISC- Bangalore in 1987 (Gold Medalist), Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine, USA (1992), and postdoctoral research at University of Alberta, Canada (1992). In August 2017 he was highlighted among the Top 1% Scientist of the World by The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and among 2.5% among scientists as per ResearchGate. To his credit are: (i) Disintegrated Melt Deposition technique and (ii) Hybrid Microwave Sintering technique to synthesize alloys/micro/nano-composites. He has published over 515 peer reviewed journal papers and owns two US patents and 1 trade secret. His current h-index is 60, RG index is 47, and citations are greater than 14000. He has also co-authored six books. He is Editor-in-Chief/Editor of twelve international peer reviewed journals. In 2018 he was announced World Academy Championship Winner in the area of Biomedical Sciences by International Agency for Standards and Ratings. A multiple award winner, he actively collaborates/visits as invited researcher and visiting and chair professor in Japan, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, USA, and India.
