Biography
Dr Caroline Griffiths has been teaching microbiology to bioscience undergraduates for over 25 years and her research in virus biotechnology has involved antiviral drug research, the use of viruses for pest control and as gene expression vectors. She serves as an academic expert on degree accreditation panels for the Institute for Biomedical Science and as an external examiner for foundation, undergraduate and Master’s degrees within the biosciences.
Dr Shirley McCready is currently an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and has taught undergraduates and postgraduate students in California, Nigeria and Oxford, UK. Her research over many years has focused on microbial and molecular genetics, including DNA damage and repair in budding and fission yeasts and in archaea.
