Biography
Luis Sánchez-Ayala is Professor of the Department of History and Geography at the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. A Latin Americanist, his main interests are political and cultural geography. Particularly, issues related to human mobility; space and identity; territory; borders and boundaries; community action; conservation and human activity; and participatory cartography.
