Biography

Arleen Shearer Mariotti is a retired educator having served the field of education for over 35 years, most recently as a classroom teacher at Adams Middle School, Tampa FL and Staff Development Trainer with Hillsborough County Public Schools. She currently is an adjunct literacy instructor at the University of South Florida and a national trainer for Population Connection.

Susan P. Homan is a Professor of literacy at the University of South Florida, author of over 30 published articles, and conducts professional workshops in the state of Florida. She is Director of the Literacy Innovation for Education (LIFE) initiative which links business and education to benefit struggling readers and the community.
