Biography

Falk Hübner is professor of Artistic Connective Practices at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, The Netherlands. He has a background as a composer, theatre maker, researcher and educator. He conducted a post doctoral research on artistic research methodology and ethics.

"After using a text by Falk Hübner “Against Method – Common Ground” (2020) several times when teaching doctoral candidates I’m excited to engage with a whole book on the topic of method and research design for artist researchers. Most of them have found it very useful to think of a research project as something that you can design yourself rather than simply follow standard prescriptions." -- Annette Arlander, Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland
