Biography
Jagesh Kumar Tiwari has been associated with potato research for about 14 years on potato biotechnology including germplasm characterization, tissue culture, pre-breeding via somatic hybridization, breeding, molecular markers, gene/QTL mapping, functional genomics for late blight resistance, tuberization and nitrogen use efficiency, and genome sequencing of potato. He has received National/International awards viz., ICAR-Lal Bahadur Shastri Outstanding Young Scientist Award and the Endeavour Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Australia), and published >150 research publications and authored/edited 4 books.
