Biography

Joanna Rosak-Szyrocka, PhD - Assistant Professor and Erasmus+ Coordinator at the Faculty of Management, Czestochowa University of Technology, Poland. She serves as Deputy Executive Editor of the Management Systems in Production Engineering journal. Her research interests include digitalization, sustainable development, Industry 5.0, Quality 4.0, higher education, and artificial intelligence. She has completed research internships at the University of Žilina (Slovakia) and the Silesian University of Technology (Poland). She has actively participated in numerous Erasmus+ teaching mobility programs in countries such as Italy, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and France.

Member of IEEE Advancing Technology for Humanity in 2022, Association of Quality and Production Managers. Participant of the scientific project VEGA No. 1/0067/11 Dynamics and Content of Decision-making Processes in Motivating Human Potential, granted by Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic.

She is a co-editor and contributor to 10 scientific monographs published by Routledge and Taylor & Francis and has authored or co-authored over 100 publications in high-impact academic journals. Since the beginning of her academic career, she has consistently received Rector's Awards for scientific excellence. In 2019, she was honored with a diploma for the substantive supervision of a diploma thesis awarded in the national IKAR JAKOŚĆ competition. In 2023, she received the Bronze Medal of the President of the Republic of Poland for distinguished long-term service.

 

Sumit Tripathi, PhD, an Associate Professor in the Big Data Analytics Department at the Goa Institute of Management, Goa, India, has 15 years of experience in research and teaching. Holding a Ph.D. from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Dr. Tripathi further honed his skills and expanded his knowledge through a postdoctoral research position at Linköping University in Sweden. Specializing in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence, computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, and Generative AI, Dr. Tripathi has made significant contributions to the field over the course of his extensive career. His research has been disseminated through numerous publications in well-regarded scientific indexed journals and presented at prestigious conferences worldwide. Dr. Tripathi has not only demonstrated a commitment to advancing the field through academic contributions but has also translated his ideas into practical applications, filing patents that reflect his innovative thinking. In addition to his research endeavours, Dr. Tripathi brings a wealth of experience to academia, having spent 15 years dedicated to research and teaching. He has also authored a book on artificial intelligence. This multifaceted approach to academia and industry demonstrates Dr. Tripathi's commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical advancements and real-world applications in the rapidly evolving field of AI.

Manuel B. Garcia is a professor of information technology and the founding director of the Educational Innovation and Technology Hub (EdITH) at FEU Institute of Technology, Manila, Philippines. He holds a Doctor of Information Technology degree from the University of the East and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Education at the University of the Philippines. His interdisciplinary research interests include topics that, individually or collectively, span the disciplines of education and information technology. He is a licensed professional teacher and a proud member of the National Research Council of the Philippines – an attached agency to the country’s Department of Science and Technology (DOST-NRCP). Dr. Garcia is the first-ever recipient of the Ramon Dimacali Award for Information Technology, conferred by the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, and has been recognized as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists for 2023 and 2024 by Elsevier.

Giuseppe Festa, PhD, is a Full Professor of Management at the Department of Management and Economics of the Pegaso University of Naples (Italy). He holds a PhD in Economics and Management of Public Organizations from the University of Salerno, where he was the Scientific Director of the Postgraduate Course in “Wine Business” and the Scientific Director of the Laboratory on “Food and Wine Communication and Reputation Management.” He is author of over 170 scientific works, including books, articles in national and international journals, chapters in national and international books, and papers at national and international conferences. His studies have been published on international journals like British Food Journal, Business Process Management Journal, European Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, International Marketing Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of International Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, The TQM Journal, and many others. His research interests focus mainly on wine business, information systems management, corporate venture capital, and healthcare management. 

 

Markus A. Launer, PhD, is a full professor of Business Administration and Service Management at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Campus Suderburg. He also teaches Sustainability and Risk Management in the ZWIRN Center. His fields of expertise include International Management, eBusiness, Finance, Controlling, Corporate Communication, Investor Relations, and Scientific Methods. Previously, he served as a visiting lecturer at Wolfenbüttel University, Fresenius University, Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA), and the International School of Management (ISM). His research focuses on digitalization, e-learning, compliance management, and intuition. Prof. Launer led EU-funded EFRE projects such as “Digital Trust and Teamwork (DigVert)” and “Intuition (RHIA)”. He also directed the global project “Digital Trust @ the Workplace” involving 30 researchers across 30 countries in 13 languages. In collaboration with 14 German education ministries, he studied e-learning in vocational schools and compliance management with Intersoft Consulting. He publishes in academic journals and manages a laboratory for IT and media technologies. Each year, he organizes the International Service Management Congress, bringing together over 50 global experts in digitalization, with results published in conference proceedings and journals. With over 20 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, and financial controlling—nine of which were in the United States—he worked for Hoechst AG, SGL Carbon AG, Philipp Holzmann AG, Media! AG, Altana Inc., Merck KGaA, and others. He was managing partner at Transatlantic Investor Relations LLC (New York and Frankfurt) and served on the board of the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York.

Prof. Launer studied Business Administration at the University of Mannheim and earned a European Ph.D. from Tallinn University of Technology. He has edited numerous books on investor relations and corporate governance and received the Dr. Carl Clemm and Dr. Carl Haas Prize in 1993.
