Each of the volumes in this series is a selective, annotated bibliography of citations to the writings about a composer, or genre, topic or geographic region. In addition to a bibliography of secondary literature, the volumes provide a wealth of other research aids, including lists of compositions, discographies, videographies, biographies, worklists, chronologies, lists of letters or other prose works of the composer, directories of scholars, and guides to libraries and other institutions, with some offering essays on trends in research about the composer or genre under discussion.
