‘Overall, this is a short but extremely valuable source covering a crucial period in history. It contains many fascinating stories, unexpected details, and insights into the local milieu. Supplying both a critical edition and a translation as well as a detailed and well explained introduction, The Deeds of the Neapolitan Bishops serves to make this text accessible to a far wider readership’ - The Journal of Religious History, Literature & Culture.
