YANG Bojun (1909−1992) was a Chinese philologist and linguist specializing in ancient Chinese grammar and he is best known for his annotated commentaries of the ancient Chinese historical texts.

"By rendering YANG Bojun’s authoritative annotations of Mengzi into English for the first time, Translation and Annotation of the Mengzi offers readers not only a faithful translation of Mengzi’s timeless reflections, but also a rich interpretation grounded in rigorous textual analysis. It bridges centuries of scholarship with clarity and care, making the depth of Confucian thought accessible to a global audience.
