Biography
Juan Pablo Lucchelli is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in Switzerland. He is a member of the École de la cause freudienne (Paris), a published author, and the Head Doctor for the Mental Health Unit of the Swiss Medical Network
"In this work, Juan Pablo Lucchelli succeeds in explaining one of the most complex subjects in Jacques Lacan’s body of work, the objet a. Lucchelli renders with breathtaking clarity the basic paradox of objet a: it is an object which is ultimately just a place-holder of the void of desire, an object with no proper place which just curves the space of desire, making a detour more efficient than a direct approach. This is a book that should not be missing not only from any library devoted to Lacan but also from the library of anyone who is perplexed by his/her desire."
