"This Book offers a well-organized and application-oriented treatment of vegetable breeding, linking fundamental genetic concepts with practical strategies used in crop improvement programmes. The authors present the subject in a student-friendly manner while keeping the discussion aligned with present-day demands such as climate resilience, stable yields, improved quality and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses.
A major strength of the book is its systematic coverage of breeding objectives and methods across key vegetable crops. With its balanced blend of principles and field relevance, it is a commendable resource for strengthening the scientific and practical understanding of vegetable improvement."
