Michael Boylan is professor of philosophy at Marymount University. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from The University of Chicago. He is the author 35 books (6 with Routledge) which also includes 11 philosophical novels. He has given invited lectures in 15 countries on 5 continents. He has served on national committees linked to the U.S. government and was a fellow and speaker at the Center of American Progress and the Brooking Institution.


Michael Boylan's three principal research specialties are: (a) Ethics and Social/Political Philosophy; (b) History and Philosophy of Greek and Latin medical writers; (c) The intersection of Fiction and Philosophy.
