Education and the environment are two threads which have permeated my career. My career includes working as a classroom teacher, teacher educator and educational author and I have written widely on geography education, the environment, sustainability, creativity and international understanding. From 2018-19 I was President of the UK's Geographical Association.
Biography
I have had an interest in my surroundings (both local and global) from an early age. This interest,which has spanned my career, coalesces around environmental issues. As well teaching at both primary and secondary level I have written extensively for teachers and children. I am the author of a primary school geography textbook series, adviser/consultant for a range of school atlases and I have published numerous articles and research papers on different aspects of geography, sustainability, creativity and intercultural learningEducation
